The 32 MOA circle is coincidentally, unlike the usual 65 MOA circles, the same diameter as the diameter of a steel falling plate in the BDS falling plate discipline with a shotgun at a 15m distance. This results in a very quickly perceivable sight picture and therefore extremely short split times in this discipline.
